About
Kat is a Concept, Colour, and Print designer with over two decades of experience shaping surface design and seasonal storytelling for global brands. Rooted in a deep understanding of colour nuance, cultural relevance, and product narrative, her work bridges aesthetics with brand identity.
She began her career in London, spending 10 years at Paul Smith, where she honed her craft in luxury colour development, print direction, and brand-led concept building. After relocating to Vancouver, she founded Whet Creative in 2016 — a consultancy dedicated to strategic colour systems, print and pattern design, and creative concept development.
Kat partners with leaders in luxury, sportswear, and intimates, with a portfolio that includes Liberty of London, Lululemon, Nike, Aritzia, Rapha, Fabletics, MEC, and more. Her approach is anchored in thoughtful research, seasonal storytelling, and design that translates across material, category, and consumer touchpoints.
Alongside her creative work, Kat is a supportive mentor and collaborative design leader who nurtures young talent and builds cross-functional partnerships that unlock strong, market-ready collections.
